The afterlife isn't all it's cracked up to be, according to seventeen-year-old Lilith Adams. She hates it in the Guardhouse and she definitely doesn't want anything to do with the ongoing war against Lucifer's disciples. A war that, according to Lilith, has absolutely nothing to do with her. To top it all off, there's Gabriel, the archangel who seems determined to make her afterlife a living hell.
So when Lilith is offered the opportunity to go back to the moment right before she died, she doesn't hesitate for a second. Then she realizes her actions have devastating consequences, not only for her, but also for Gabriel.
